Day 1 TARAPOTO Arrival and transfer to hotel.
Day 2 TARAPOTO/JUANJUI Transfer (2 hrs.) to Juanjui city. By boat we will be driven to Río Abiseo National Park, along the Huallaga river to get Huayabamba River, then Huicungo village at Río Abiseo. Dinner. Lodging close to the Control Point of the Guards of INRENA.
Day 3 NATIONAL PARK OF RIO ABISEO Hike in the morning to birdwatch in the forest to get the “French cave”, called this name because of a french explorer that dies in its deeps. Lunch. Visit to El Churo gorge. Dinner. Lodge.
Day 4 NATIONAL PARK OF RIO ABISEO Boat trip to El Shiringal (a place where park guards working with local people started to introduce medicinal plants in secondary forests), then to Oros, place of virgin nature and finally to Oso waterfall (habitat of spectacle bear). Lunch at camp. Hike in the forest to see different trees for wood. Dinner. Optional a night excursion
Day 5 JUANJUI/TARAPOTO Navigation by 3 hrs. along Huayabamba river and by 30 minutes by foot across the forest to get Breo waterfalls. On the path we will have the chance to see different birds as Paujil Salvin or White chest, Torrentes duck, fishers and eagles. Lunch at Huayabamba river. Transfer to Tarapoto city. Hotel.
Day 6 TARAPOTO Departure.
