Tarapoto Jungle
During centuries this was a nation with many Amazonian ethnics, then the Chachapoyas, Incas and Spanish came, being the first Amazonian region in America with Spanish citizens in.
Surrounded by Alto Mayo Mountains, Huallaga River, Blue and Escalera Mountain Ranges, has different ecosystems in a relative short distance and waterfalls surrounded by jungle vegetation. Finally, gastronomy fans have their delight with its great cuisine, one of the best in the Peruvian jungle.

TARAPOTO Arrival to the airport and transfer to hotel. Lodging. |

TARAPOTO/SAUCE Early departure by bikes to the detour that takes us to the point of pass of the Huallaga river (by boat) to start the climb to Sauce lagoon where we will spend the night. |

SAUCE/TARAPOTO Return back to Tarapoto, mostly downhill or flat untill arriving to Shapaja village in Huallaga. Transfer in the afternoon to Tarapoto. |

TARAPOTO/LAMAS/SAN ROQUE/TARAPOTO Transfer to Shanao village at 06h00 to start the ride by dirt roads to Lamas continuing by rural paths with climbs and downhills to San Roque del Cumbaza, where we’ll lunch and enjoy its fresh and clear water. Return to Tarapoto biking. Transfer to airport - night flight.
