Chachapoyas Traditions
A trip by different communities in the Utcubamba Valley Route. We will visit the villages of María, Leymebamba y La Jalca to be experience of the way of life of people in their daily activities, visiting the local market to have contact with regional products.

CHACHAPOYAS/KARAJIA/MARIA At 08h00 visit to the local market of Chachapoyas and Santa Ana Ethnic Religious Museum to have a complete view of the history of San Juan de la Frontera de los Chachapoyas. At 11h00 departure to Cruzpata village to start the hike of 30 min to the Sarcophagus of Karajia.. Lunch. In the afternoon transfer to Maria Communitary lodging. |

MARIA/KUELAP/LEYMEBAMBA At 06h30 departure to Kuelap (9000ft). Visit to the Kuelap Fortress. Return to spend time in Maria Community. Lunch. Transfer to Utcubamba valley and Leymebamba. Lodging. |

LEYMEBAMBA/JALCA/CHACHAPOYAS At 09h00 transfer to Mummies Museum. After the visit we take back on road to Chachapoyas taking a detour to La Jalca Grande where we will visit its colonnial church buit with chachapoya stones decorations and its Communitary Textile Center. Transfer, lunch and arrival to Chachapoyas. Hotel. |
