The land of "Men of the Clouds" the Chachapoya, has lots of historical monuments the most important until now is Kuelap, known as the Machu Picchu of the North and you'll be surprised by their mummies and burrying buildings as sarcophagus and mausoleums located on impresive cliffs very difficult as impossible to reach in our times.
Here is the land of Great Waterfalls having the three tallest of the country and third and fourth in the whole world: Yumbilla 910m, Gocta 770m and Chinata.

D3	CHACHAPOYAS/KUELAP/CHACHAPOYAS Breakfast. 08h00 Departure to Kuélap, on the road we will see the archaeological site of Macro, located in the Utcubamba valley. Arrival to the Kuélap Fortress at 3,000 meters height, guided visit, box lunch. Departure to Chachapoyas. (bus departures to Chiclayo or Lima at night). Hotel
D4	CHACHAPOYAS 05h00 Private transfer to Tarapoto or Chiclayo
	OPTION LEYMEBAMBA Breakfast. Visit to the Mummies Museum. Departure to Chachapoyas. On the road transfer to La Jalca Grande. Departure to Chachapoyas. Hotel

Personal equipment:
1 travel backpack (transfered in the support vehicle)
1 small backpack for day activities.
Trekking shoes, t-shirts, sunglasses, cap, jean and shorts.
Sunblock and repelant.
Medicins: every passenger must carry his own medicins as own need and inform about any meal limitation or allergies. You must bring pills for headache, stomachache or fever.
Bring extra money for tips, personal spends and drinks.

Dry or summer season: Add polartech and winter clothes for the night.
Rainy or winter season: gloves, raincoat and umbrella.

Lodging
You'll be lodged on double or triple rooms with private services and hot water. Single rooms are only available if booked with anticipation or if the lodge has in availability.
Weather:
Cold and windy on heights (7~12 C) warm in the valley (18~24 C) and cold at dawn and night (5 C).
In rainy season: temperature at dawn and night 8 C.
Health prevents: Avoid drink water from sources, recommended drink sealed water bottles.
Vaccin against yellow fever is needed if you plan to enter the jungle, in cities and big villages is not necessary. Anti-allergies may be needed in case of bite of insects.
